Patricia E. King

Patty King brings extensive experience and wide-ranging expertise to Hudson River Center. She has over 25 years of service as an office manager to private agencies as well as to federal and state governmental offices. Ms. King has worked in the fields of mental health, graphic design, fundraising and corporate donations, and alcohol abuse/alcoholism.

As senior staff person at Finnegan Associates International (a mental health group practice), Ms. King served as liaison with patients, handled billing and insurance, and generated reports to courts, physicians, and educational facilities. At Envision Communications, a small graphics firm, her responsibilities again included liaison with clients. She also contributed to editorial, design, type layout, and photography assignments.

For many years, Ms. King worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism. In addition to managing the ongoing activities of the Director's office, she coordinated executive staff assignments and supervised support staff. She edited speeches and publications as well as compiled departmental and presidential briefing documents. Prior to her invitation to work at the federal level, Ms. King served as the executive secretary to the director of the New York State Division of Alcoholism and Alcohol Abuse.

Throughout her work history, Ms. King's dedication to professionalism and perfection has been recognized. This acclaim allowed her to successfully operate an independent consultancy for over 15 years. As such, she provides her expertise in proofreading, editing, office management, and medical, legal and educational transcription.
