Hudson River Center for Program Development - Parent Education Training Workshop

The New York State Education Department and Hudson River Center for Program Development, Inc. are pleased to announce the availability of Parenting Education. This exciting professional development session is an ideal opportunity for Even Start Family Literacy, and other, professionals to learn how to:

foster key parenting behaviors that contribute to children's language, literacy, and academic development.
improve parents' sense of efficacy. ("I can make a difference in my child's life!")
plan, and consistently assess, parenting education using the Parent Education Profile.

Parenting Education was developed at the request of the New York State Education Department. Hudson River Center for Program Development, Inc. collaborated with the New York State Even Start Parenting Education Workgroup to produce training that is not only research-based and practical, but also interactive and engaging.

Parenting Education is a three-day workshop. The training workshop will be presented from 9:00 to 4:30 each day. The workshop fee of $325* per person includes three full days of training, participant study guide, continental breakfast each morning of the training, and lunch each day of the training. Please note that participants are responsible for their own evening and dinner arrangements.

* Registration Fee: Parenting Education was developed with funds provided by the New York State Education Department, under the William F. Goodling Even Start Family Literacy Programs Statute. Therefore, the registration fee for members of currently funded New York State Even Start Family Literacy programs is waived.
