Click for sound.

Although this unit on child safety contains good information, neither the Hudson River Center nor the New York State Education Department is responsible for how correct or complete the information is.

If you have any questions, talk with a teacher, tutor, or someone who works in health.

When you start, you will see that each health topic or lesson is set up the same. When you first click on the lesson, the title will be at the top of the page. Next will be "Click for sound." When you click, the lesson will be read to you as well as being on the page.

As you read the lesson, you will notice that certain words are underlined. If you click, you will see what they mean.

Some lessons have worksheets. Just click when told to! How to do the worksheet will be in red at the top. When you finish each lesson and worksheet, it would be good of you to talk about it with a student, teacher, tutor, family member, or friend. Talking about what you are learning helps you remember it. Also, sometimes you learn something new.
